StopLight Somersault

These are two illustrations showing how Steve would swing around a stoplight like an acrobat and do a somersault to possibly avoid someone chasing him.

Steve and Silverango Sketches

These are two sketches drawing first with dark red col-erase pencils then I did the linework with brown prismacolor chiseltip markers. I added the color later on with photoshop. I like the chisel tip markers because you can add a variety of weight to the line without having to use multiple markers.

Stop Sign Swinging with Steve

I was watching a bmx freestyle video the other day and I noticed some creative ways that the riders were doing tricks. Specifically, one rider actually grabbed onto a sign pole and whipped around it with his arms. I thought that it would be interesting if Steve incorporated bmx and skateboard stunts into how he drives in his truck. For instance, maybe he can do a wallride with his truck and use his hand to push himself on the wall. After all, he is a cartoon and can bend the rules of reality. Of course since kids would be watching it I would have to insert a disclaimer instructing them not to try stunts like this in their parent's cars.

Introducing Steve Silveardo

This blog is dedicated to my character, Steve Silverado and a children's story that I wrote and illustrated called "The Tale of Steve Silverado". I will post sketches of Steve, various characters from his universe and concepts for new stories.

Here is a link to purchase the book on Amazon.

Here are a couple sketches of Steve, his truck (the Silverango), a portrait of his girlfriend Debbie Durango and also a full color marker illustration of Debbie.
